In this course, Anastasia Han will guide you in how to pronounce Ancient Greek well, with a focus on the sounds of Classical Attic, whose key characteristics are found in spoken Ancient Greek through the Hellenistic and early Roman Koine period, including:

• the sounds of all the letters of the alphabet

• aspirates φ, θ, χ

• pitch accent

• vowel qualities including ει vs η, ου vs ω

• phonemic vowel and syllable length

• and much more!

Anastasia will help you learn how to place these sounds correctly, guiding you on good pronunciation, drawing on years of experience as a teacher of languages both ancient and modern.
